Privacy Policy
At Osudovka we take privacy seriously. We only process the data we genuinely need so the app can serve you well.
This document describes what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what rights you have in connection with it.
Processing takes place in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council — GDPR, and in accordance with Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the processing of personal data.
1. Personal data controller
The controller of your personal data is:
Milan Talíř
ID No.: 249 54 071
Registered office: Staré Hodějovice 41, 370 08 České Budějovice
Contact email: osudovkapp@gmail.com
The controller has not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), as there is currently no legal obligation to do so.
2. What data we process
2.1 Registration data
To create a user account we process:
your email address (used for login and communication),
your password (stored only in encrypted form — a hash; nobody, not even us, has access to it in its original form),
the date and time of registration and last login.
2.2 Content you put into the Service
If you use the dream journal or save interpretations, we process:
the text of your entries (dreams, notes, your own interpretations),
the date and time the entry was created,
optional tags / keywords you add to your entries.
This data is accessible only to you once logged in to your account. The Operator may have technical access to the recorded data (especially at the database level), but does not use it for any purpose other than running the Service and solving possible technical problems.
2.3 Operational and technical data
When you use the website, the following are logged automatically:
your IP address (kept for the time necessary for security and diagnostics),
the type of browser and operating system,
the date and time of access,
the pages you visited within the application.
This data is processed as part of standard server logs and serves to ensure security, stability, and improvement of the application.
2.4 Data we do NOT process
We don't collect your first name, surname, phone number, home address, date of birth, or any other data unless you voluntarily provide them yourself (e.g. in an email enquiry).
3. Purpose and legal basis of processing
Purpose | Data | Legal basis
Maintaining the user account | Email, password, registration date | Performance of contract
Saving entries in the dream journal | Entry content, timestamp | Performance of contract + consent
Operation and security of the application | IP address, technical logs | Legitimate interest
Improving the Service (anonymous) | Aggregate traffic statistics | Legitimate interest
Communication regarding the Service | Email | Performance of contract + legitimate interest
4. Data retention period
We retain account data for as long as the account is active.
After the account is cancelled, your data (including the dream journal and saved interpretations) will be deleted within 30 days at the latest, except for those that must be kept for legal reasons.
We typically retain operational logs (IP addresses, technical records) for 6 months, and then delete or anonymise them.
5. Who we share data with
We don't sell your personal data and don't share it with third parties for marketing purposes. For running the Service we do, however, use some technical processors:
a hosting / server provider — ensures the running of the application and database,
an email service provider — for sending system emails,
a domain registration provider (Gransy / subreg.cz) — for managing the osudovka.cz domain.
With all processors we have — or will have before live launch — a personal data processing agreement in place, ensuring the same level of protection that we provide. We will provide a specific list of processors on request via the email address above.
We do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights in connection with the processing of your personal data:
Right of access — you can request information about what data we process about you.
Right to rectification — if your data is inaccurate or incomplete.
Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — you can request that your data be deleted.
Right to restriction of processing — in cases where you dispute the accuracy of the data or the lawfulness of processing.
Right to portability — you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
Right to object to processing based on legitimate interest.
Right to withdraw consent at any time, if processing is based on consent.
Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.cz.
You can exercise your rights at any time by emailing osudovkapp@gmail.com. We respond without undue delay, at the latest within 30 days.
7. Cookies
7.1 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved to your browser when you visit a website. They serve to let the website remember basic information between visits (e.g. that you are logged in).
7.2 What cookies we use
Currently Osudovka.cz uses only technically necessary cookies:
Login (session) cookie — keeps you logged in to your account.
Security cookie — protects against CSRF-type attacks.
Optional consent cookie — records your choice in the cookie bar.
7.3 Cookies we don't use yet
We currently don't use any analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies. If we were to deploy them in the future, we would first ask for your explicit consent via the cookie bar and update this document accordingly.
7.4 How to turn cookies off
You can delete or disable cookies in your browser at any time. Without the technically necessary cookies, however, it may not be possible to log in to the Service and use the dream journal.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 15. If you are a parent and discover that a child has provided their data to Osudovka, contact us and we will delete the data immediately.
9. Data security
We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures — in particular encrypted transmission (HTTPS), password hashing, restricted database access, and regular backups.
Despite all efforts, no system can be 100% secure. If a security incident were to occur that could threaten your rights, we will inform you in accordance with the law.
10. Changes to this document
We may update this document from time to time — especially if we change the scope of processing or adopt new technologies. We will inform logged-in users of substantial changes by email or by a notice in the Service.
The current version is always available at osudovka.cz/soukromi.
